I had the opportunity to accompany the legendary Sybil Thomas at a recent TedX symposium in Hong Kong a couple months ago. We closed this TedX weekend and our show brought a standing ovation and a lot of compliments, so all in all it was a success as well as being all warm and fuzzy for the ego.
This was the first time I hung out in a Ted talk situation but I had so much fun I’m hoping it won’t be the last. I’ve never been in the midst of so many interesting people. Every one of them had great ideas or products or visions that they wanted to share, a lot of ambition, a lot of intelligence, it was a genuine pleasure for me.
I think I even sold someone a Nord keyboard. The sound engineers did a great job mixing the Nord with the vocals and people in the audience were amazed at how good it sounded. Afterwards, someone came up and asked me all sorts of questions about my keys, tried it out, and walked away looking like they just found a dream.
